We are an active and vibrant club in the Charlotte, NC community. At our regular meetings, we host speakers from the local area and beyond to share information about organizations, events, community needs and other interesting and relevant topics. We support a number of youth programs, specifically several Key Clubs (high schools), Terrific Kids programs (elementary schools), and Circle K Clubs (colleges). Through our Uptown group we have more informal, service oriented meetings.
Newcomers to Charlottte and visitors are welcome to join us at any of our meetings and events.

Please join us for our weekly luncheon with guest speaker, Michael Adams. After 20 years as a national security advisor in the U.S. Navy, Michael now serves as a strategic cybersecurity, data privacy and technology counselor to clients across industries. Before joining McGuireWoods, Michael served as the principal legal advisor to the last two Chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on matters of cybersecurity, privacy, intelligence and technology. His background offers clients rare legal and technical insight into current and emerging cyber risks, and he employs proven risk mitigation strategies and incident response methodologies on behalf of those he advises.
During his three-year tenure with the Chairman and Joint Chiefs, Michael counseled the country’s top military officers, civilian advisors and Congress on international and national security law affecting military operations. He developed a legal and policy framework to combat emerging cyber threats and served as a first-responder and key military advisor during significant U.S. and international cyber events, including the 2014 hacking of Sony Pictures by North Korea. He has since redesigned McGuireWoods’ approach to cybersecurity and data privacy and proven invaluable to protecting clients in the face of increasingly sophisticated cyber threats and heightened legal and regulatory scrutiny.
