The Kiwanis Club of Charlotte is a membership-based service organization dedicated to improving the Charlotte, North Carolina community. Partnering with local nonprofits and businesses, we use our club's resources to:
- improve quality of life through hands-on service projects
- make a broader impact on pressing community problems through philanthropic initiatives
- stay informed about issues affecting our community through bi-weekly forums with community leaders.

We served almost 1,000 delicious BBQ plates and enjoyed some great live bluegrass music - all for a worthy cause!

The Kiwanis Club of Charlotte’s 4th Annual “Coolest Dog in Charlotte” contest is now wrapped! Thanks to all who entered and voted - and to our partners Nance Construction, 1110 WBT, Skiptown, and Pilot Brewing for helping make this another amazing year! With your support, we raising over $10K for youth in Charlotte with a focus on increasing childhood literacy in our region.
The contest winner will be the face of a special commemorative small batch brew. Runners-up will be featured on the can as well! Thanks and congrats!
"Coolest Dog in Charlotte" Contest is back!
The Kiwanis Club of Charlotte’s 4th Annual “Coolest Dog in Charlotte” contest is now open for submissions! The contest is open to everyone in Charlotte who is a dog owner or who has a favorite canine they want to support. Our club, in partnership with Nance Construction, 1110 WBT radio, and Pilot Brewing is pleased to be hosting the contest raising funds for youth in Charlotte with a focus on increasing childhood literacy in our region.

- Enter your canine via the contest website! The contest kickoff is set for Feb 26, but now is a great time to get a head start crafting the perfect photo and story that will earn your pup the title "Coolest Dog in Charlotte!"

Holiday Baskets 2025 Service Project
Each year we partner with the county public school system to provide gifts and groceries for students (and their families) in our community whose need is greatest.
Shopping for - and delivering - presents is a great experience, but we also make sure to include non-perishable food items (and even some basic household supplies) for each family. Most students are eligible for free lunch (and even breakfast) at school, but during the holiday break this reliable nutrition is disrupted, so our baskets help bridge this gap and provide security in what can unfortunately be an anxious time for some.
Help us embody the spirit of giving and support these families through what should be a joyous time. Any donation is welcome, but our Foundation page has suggested tiers and impact stories. Thank you!
Our club focuses on community initiatives and children-centered projects, striving to uplift local children by fostering growth and empowerment for a brighter future.
From literacy efforts - including book donations and in-school reading days - to delivering gifts and groceries directly to families, we are proud to lend a hand!
We are passionate about raising funds and donations to aid local children and families, while also offering support for higher education through annual scholarships.
With tens of thousands of dollars raised each year, we have funded dozens of students to attend camps, leadership retreats, regional conferences & more!
Our club gathers regularly, fostering a tight-knit community while making a positive impact through our shared dedication to service and building lasting friendships.
Our lunch meetings regularly feature informative speakers & programs. We also love to plan dinner and weekend events throughout the year!
